Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) - involved in research and information about language and culture to educational, cultural, and social concerns. It provides resources and links to a wide range of related subjects in this area.

National Centre for English Language Teaching & Research (NCELTR) - at Macquarie University provides courses, research, information services and marketing, and publications on English language, literacy and numeracy.

OPPortunities in English to Speakers of Other Languages - provides a variety of teaching and learning resources for ESOL and links to other ESOL resources and sites.

Reading Writing Hotline - a national 1300 telephone service funded by the Department of Education, Science & Training (DEST) and managed by TAFE NSW - Access & General Education Curriculum Centre.

Supporting Adult & Applied Learning & Teaching (SAALT) - an information service for advice and support on adult education, specialising in adult English language, literacy and numeracy.

    • del.icio.us is perhaps the best known general social bookmaking service
   
• Newsgroups & mailing lists are older types of Internet services (or forums) which are mainly used these days by special interest groups.
    • tile.net allows you to do keyword searches of these services
