 Courses

Languages Other Than English (LOTE) & Women's Programs provides courses for adult learners who require language skills as part of their working life. AUSLAN and signed English are included in this program area along with pre-vocational and entry level programs for women.

This Program Area also has responsibility for Women only courses. The courses aim to improve access, participation and outcomes for women in Vocational Education and Training. The courses target women who have been away from the workforce for a long time and wish to increase their self-confidence and skills, including literacy and numeracy skills, in order to re-enter the workforce.
 

TAFE NSW Courses

You can browse through the Languages Other than English & Women's Programs course information from the TAFE NSW Handbook - this will be displayed in a new browser window. The information is updated daily and shows course name and number - full details of each course (description, locations, qualification level, duration, etc.) can be obtained by following links on the page.

• The TAFE NSW website provides the full range of information about all TAFE NSW courses.
• From the Find a course page you can search for a course, or browse by course name or by career.

Commercial courses

• TAFEPlus is the commercial training arm of TAFE NSW, customising training to suit the needs of industry and individuals. You can search for a course and enrol online.

Distance & online education options

• OTEN (Open Training & Education Network) delivers a wide range of qualifications through distance education and flexible delivery to technical and further education students, schools and outside organisations.
• Web-supported study options are offered either in an on-campus study program, or as a fully online study program, and often in 'mixed mode' - a combination of both on-campus and online activities.

For school leavers

• The Training Market website provides information about apprenticeships and traineeships in NSW and has sections listing apprenticeship and traineeship courses available in NSW.
• The HSC/TAFE Credit Transfer website helps NSW school students select subjects to maximise credit transfer into TAFE NSW as well as providing information for those having already completed the NSW HSC.

University studies

• This website has an Articulation & Credit Transfer Information page which provides information for students who have undertaken TAFE NSW studies and wish to enrol in studies at Australian universities.
• The TAFE NSW/Universities Credit Transfer & Articulation website provides information about learning pathways between TAFE NSW and several universities within New South Wales (NSW).
