Engineering Manufacturing

 What we do

Engineering Manufacturing develops course and resources for:
 

manufacturing engineering production
competitive manufacturing
manufacturing technology
higher engineering trade: metal fabrication
casting & moulding; welding; patternmaking
boilermaking; sheetmetal; blacksmithing

Specific areas include the following:

       • New Apprenticeship in Engineering - Mechanical (Trade) Training Package and
         Higher Engineering Trade
       • Manufacturing Traineeships
       • Occupational Studies in Engineering
       • Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
       • Detail Drafting (Drafting Trade - Mechanical)
       • Mechanical Trade, Toolmaking
       • Mechanical Post Trade and Technicians, Computer Aided Engineering, Tool &
         Die Design, CNC Machining, Mechatronics,   Robotics
       • Manufacturing associates including Industrial Engineering
       • Operator level training in Manufacturing and machining process areas

Development of the courses involves consultation with a range of stakeholders. In particular industry input plays a vital role. All courses are developed in close co-operation with Manufacturing Skills Australia (MSA), the national Industry Skills Council (ISC).

Graduates of courses from this area find employment in the manufacturing and engineering both in the public sector and private industry.

If you don't know who to talk to, you can contact your local TAFE Campus (or search the White Pages under TAFE NSW with a Business/Government search type).

The International Students Centre assists and advises international students who would like to study in Australia on a student visa at a TAFE NSW institute, TAFE English language centre or a NSW government high school.   International Students can get help at all stages, from initial enquiries through to post course completion.
