*Costume & Couture - Series 2* The Fashion Technology and Theatre Costume department` is proud to be hosting from 6^th to 22^nd September, by popular demand, the return visit to Australia by Alexandre Vassiliev, Russian born, Paris based costume designer to Europe’s opera and ballet, scenographer and fashion Historian. Presenting a new exhibition in The Muse and a series of lectures covering Costume and Couture from Ancient Egypt, European Fashion during the Middle Ages, the French Renaissance, Spanish Baroque, Rococco, Venetian Carnivale, pre- and post-War fashion….and the Art of Chanel.

In conjunction with the Alexandre Vassiliev Costume and Couture Exhibition and Lecture Series…..John Wregg’s Theatre Designs Gallery will be visiting the Muse with original costume renderings, costume working drawings and set designs from some of the most memorable and successful shows of recent times and gems from the obscure.

Students of Footwear and Millinery will exhibit their work in 'the Muse', Building C, Ultimo TAFE. Perfect timing for the Melbourne Cup. Open 10am till 4pm daily. Entry to exhibition is free.
