I was drawn to the structural design of the late 19th century, and decided on the year of 1895 for the definitive features of its silhouette. I characterised this costume for 'The Importance of Being Earnest' by Oscar Wilde, because its style and class complimented the character of Gwendolen, one of the lead female roles of 'Great Importance'.
