Fashion Industry interests:
I'm interested in the Australian Fashion Industry particularly in the development of Quality Control and Technological advances in the industry such as Computer Patternmaking systems, eg Lectra and Design
Systems,
eg Artist.
 Knowledge and Experience in
the
Fashion Industry:
I have been working as a casual for Big W since 95 and have gained experience through Work Placement. I have worked for Qualtest where I was working as a Quality Control Design and Sizing Assistant, ABC on the show Wildside as a Wardrobe Assistant. I have also done work for George
Spyrou, A ladies clothing manufacturer as a Design Room Assistant and also at Running Bare, Ladies activewear and swimwear manufacturer also as a Design Room Assistant. I have Knowledge of Patternmaking , Garment Construction, Grading, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Computers.
Plans for the Future:
I would like to work in the buying department for a retail store, I am also interested in doing work on computers either in design systems CAD, or Computer Patternmaking Systems such as Lectra and Gerber.
Special Qualities:
I am a fast learner and am very keen to work in the industry. I enjoy working either as part of a team or by myself and I communicate well with others.

To be employed within the Fashion Industry in a position where I can demonstrate and further develop my knowledge and experience.

KATHI LECORDIER
Fashion Industry interests:
Hi, my name is Kathi, and I've had an interest in making clothes for 13 years now. Only within the last few years I decided to make it a career of mine, after working within retail for a few years and the Defence Forces for six years. I have had work experience with various companies while being a full time student these past two years and have found that my interest lies only within the custom made area within the industry. I have attained skills in pattern construction, pattern development and patternmaking, as well as the ability to construct complex garments.
I would like a career where I would have hands on in the making of garments, whether it be men's wear, children's wear, ladies wear, couture, or tailoring. I want to learn all the skills I can in all area's
of patternmaking and garment construction, for one day with visions of opening my own business.
If I sound like someone whom you would like to have aboard your team, I am seeking full-time employment as of the coming year.

Product Research and Development, and Marketing
Knowledge and Experience in the
Fashion Industry:
From the Apparel Manufacturing course at East Sydney TAFE, I developed several industry skills. My expertise is more into product research and development, and marketing. I also achieved a high level of training in customise pattern making and complex garment assembly. The subjects I also under-took were accessing business opportunity, productivity, innovative products, quality control, quality assurance, sales, business calculation, one to one training. Some people relation skill such as people skill, inter-cultural, communication in industrial relation and team building relation for which I believe they are quite important within the working environment where people communication, inter-act take place to achieve the best end results.
During the 2 years course I also had opportunity of work-placement to gain the hand-on experience within the industries. The companies which I had work-experience opportunity with are Akira, Carla
Zampatti, Kerri Mc-Gee, George Spyrou, Physico and A & E Clothing. I am currently a casual employee at New Plain, working for two days per week and assistance in the production room.
Plans for the Future:
My first goal is to get a stable job in the industry where I can develop and expand my product research and development, and marketing skill then from my developed experience will seek for further advancement.
