The challenge facing chemical use in agriculture is achieving sustainable production while protecting the environment and meeting market expectations.

NSW Agriculture and TAFE NSW now offer a range of chemical training courses for agricultural, horticultural, nursery, local government, environmental and domestic situations.

Three courses focus on safe and effective use of agricultural and veterinary chemicals for users, managers and advisers, with all courses delivered flexibly to meet your needs: 

• Chemical Safety - Australian Qualifications Framework Level 2 

• Chemical Application - Australian Qualifications Framework Level 3 

• Chemical Risk Management - Australian Qualifications Framework Level 4

The training has a strong risk-management focus and is nationally recognised, satisfying the anticipated regulatory requirements of the NSW Pesticides Act 1999 for chemical use and the National Registration Authority requirements for purchasing restricted chemicals.
