OverviewLinks in this section open in new browser windows - close windows when finished Training Packages provide the basic building blocks for vocational education and training programs and are nationally produced with funding from the Department of Education, Science & Training (DEST) - see the National Training System (NTS) section. Training Packages are developed by industry through national Industry Skills Councils (ISC) or by enterprises to meet the identified training needs of specific industries or industry sectors. TAFE NSW, through its Curriculum Centres, prepares courses enabling students to gain Training Package qualifications that are made up of appropriate sets of competencies.
